German travellers without a permanent residence in Cameroon should try to return to Germany as soon as possible due to the lack of flight Connections!

Behavioural requirements Cameroon

Despite the easing of the restrictions by the Cameroonian government, we ask you to remain cautious and vigilant! For your own protection and the protection of others, please follow the following rules:

  • Always wear mouth and nose protection in public places
  • Avoid large crowds
  • Wash and disinfect your hands regularly
  • Avoid driving in crowded taxis

Procedure for expired visas

Please contact the Cameroonian authorities. The German Embassy cannot extend your Cameroonian visa.

Procedure in case of a suspected COVID-19 disease

  •  If you have a cough or fever, isolate yourself and all other household members for 14 days
  • Do not visit a doctor without prior notice by phone
  • Contact the Cameroonian authorities through the following numbers:

Return travel options to Germany

Commercial flights from Cameroon are currently not taking place due to the closure of the border. Therefore, it is unfortunately not possible to leave the country at the Moment.

Entry regulations in Germany 

  • Entering Germany, you are obliged to a compulsory quarantine of 14 days
  • If you show symptoms that indicate a COVID-19 disease, the entry to Germany might be refused
  • Please note that hotels in Germany are currently closed and that difficulties may occur when renting accommodation.
  • Immediately after arrival, contact the responsible health authority. The implementation of COVID-19 regulations is the responsibility of the federal states. A list with links to the websites of the federal states can be found here (in German).

Germans living in Cameroon also have the possibility to return to Germany, even if they do not have a permanent residence there. The question of whether a return makes sense depends on the circumstances and therefore the Embassy cannot provide a general answer.

Return travel options to Germany

Repatriation flights organized by of the German Government

The Federal Government's repatriation flights have now mostly ended. Currently, no further flights by the Federal Government from Cameroon are planned.
