Important Information on the Visa Procedure

Payments

Payments for all services of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Yaoundé (e. g. visa fees, passport fees, expenses, etc.) can only be made at the counters provided for this purpose on the premises of the consulate and always against a receipt!

Payments do not speed up processing and do not result in your request being given priority! Please contact the Embassy immediately via the contact form if you are requested to make payments without a receipt or if services are offered to expedite requests. Your report will be treated in strict confidence.

Important Notice for the Prevention of Fraud

The Embassy informs that there is no cooperation with private companies or service providers who arrange work, training or study places or offer any services in the context of visa procedures. The Embassy urgently warns against the utilization of services of private companies regarding visa procedures. Any people using them do so on their own risk.

Contact requests

Information of any kind is free of charge. Please inform yourself on our homepage before using the contact form! Requests for information available on our homepage will be deleted and will not be answered. Always quote your reference number when making enquiries. Enquiries without the reference number cannot be answered.

Currently, only urgent enquiries are answered. Requests for information on the current status during the standard waiting period and/or the standard processing period will not be answered. Information on the standard processing time can be found under your respective application category below.

Appointments

Appointments are free of charge and can be booked via the Embassy's appointment system. Please inform yourself about the requirements for processing your request before booking an appointment!

Information on Appeals (Remonstrationen)

Until further notice, the visa section of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Yaoundé has only very limited staff capacities.
